Romantic Sunset Picnic in an Italian Inspired Vineyard | Villa Bellezza Anniversary Session

Laura + Lance + Wine = Anniversary Bliss

A couple celebrates their anniversary at Villa Bellezza.

As seen on Wisconsin Bride

When Laura and Lance asked me to photograph their anniversary I couldn't say no! Not only was the venue to die for but so are they. I have a close relationship with them - one of those relationships where they Facetime us on birthday's with champagne New Year's glasses on their faces and sing happy birthday! In fact, I was a bridesmaid at their wedding, and I couldn't be happier for these two as the celebrate their second wedding anniversary. Laura, Lance and I (and Bryan too!) got to explore and indulge in the beauty of the Villa Bellezza.

Villa Bellezza is an elegant and private location perfect for weddings and intimate photo sessions alike. It is easy to see why so many couple choose to get married here or enjoy each others company in the Villa and vineyard. The Villa gives a romantic Italian vibe with an on sight vineyard, classic Italian architecture and grand column pavilions. Laura chose the perfect wine lace gown for this location. Venue: Villa Bellezza Bouquet: Flowers of the Field Rings: Rummele's Fine Jewelry Buffalo Plaid Blanket: Pottery Barn

Laura and Lance loved being able to dress up and enjoy the Villa Bellezza. They got to explore and be a little out of their comfort zone. With the right person by your side being out of your comfort zone can be a great adventure. Plus finding a little piece of Italy in Wisconsin is so fun and unique too!

I asked Laura and Lance a little about their relationship. They were students at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point. As fate would have it they both joined a late night mass, at the Newman Center for Catholic students on campus, and during the pizza social the only spot left in the whole room for Lance to sit was right next to Laura.

Villa Bellezza Vineyard Pavilion

Laura and Lance danced together under the extraordinary pillars of the pavilion. Giggling and fully immersed in their bliss. It was truly incredible to watch these two together. I asked them about their first date and funny enough, that didn't go as originally planned. Laura had food poisoning and Lance came over to make sure she was alright and they watched the Emperor's New Groove. How sweet is Lance!

Now let's talk about their proposal. Lance tricked Laura into going to the wildlife sanctuary in Green Bay, WI to help his mom. He told Laura that a volunteer event took place earlier that day and they needed help getting down some photos of volunteers from the trees. Laura believed every word. What she didn't know was that Lance had actually hung photos of the two of them throughout their relationship on a large tree! Her mind raced with emotions as she realized who was in the photos. When she turned around there was Lance down on one knee ready to proposed to her. And the rest is history!

I can't wait to get back to the Villa Bellezza for future sessions and weddings. This location is this photographers dream. So the next time your heading out to the Villa Bellezza, let's do it the best way possible- together;) But also- they do wine tastings (I'm just saying)
